Project Background
Sky Tree, located at the main entrance of Qian Deng Lake Park, is one of the park's most notable landmarks. The design of the tree is similar to Singapore’s Sky Tree, though it stands at only 18 meters high. Despite its relatively small height, its unique appearance has made it a distinctive feature of the park. During the day, Sky Tree attracts many visitors due to its striking design. However, at night, its full potential is not realized, and the tree fails to fully showcase its charm. To enhance the nighttime visual effect of Sky Tree and turn it into a prominent visual focal point of the park, this lighting project will breathe new life into the tree, making it a shining star of Qian Deng Lake Park.

Project Goal
The main goal of this project is to enhance Sky Tree's nighttime appeal by installing RGB wall washers and Pixel lights both inside the tree and in the crown. These lights will create a dynamic gradient effect, allowing the tree to display a range of colorful changes at night. Specifically, the tree trunk will be illuminated using RGB wall washers to highlight the translucent artificial stone material, creating rich gradient colors; the tree crown will be fitted with Pixel lights, which will emphasize its three-dimensional structure and layers.

Renovation Plan

Interior Lighting Design

RGB wall washers will be installed inside the Sky Tree, shining upwards from the base. Due to the translucent artificial stone used in the trunk, the light from the washers will pass through the trunk, creating a soft, even glow. The RGB wall washers will be adjustable in both color and brightness, allowing for different color temperatures and gradient effects, giving the tree trunk a vibrant, ever-changing light display.
This design will not only accentuate the artistic form of the tree trunk but also enhance its visual impact through changing lights.

Crown Lighting Design

Pixel lights will be installed in the tree crown to highlight its structure with focused, precise lighting. These lights will create a sense of depth and three-dimensionality, making the tree’s crown more distinct and dynamic at night. The finely tuned lighting will highlight each branch and leaf, making the Sky Tree appear like a radiant "star tree" in the night sky.

Gradient Effects & Intelligent Control

The dynamic gradient effect will be achieved through the intelligent control system for the RGB wall washers and Pixel lights. Based on the season, time of day, or holiday events, the lighting will automatically change, creating different colors and atmospheres. During regular settings, the lighting will present a warm tone, while on holidays or during special events, the Sky Tree's lights will shift to vibrant gradients, enhancing the festive atmosphere.
The intelligent control system will also allow for the automated on/off timing of the lights, ensuring that the Sky Tree lights turn on and off at designated times, optimizing energy consumption and improving management convenience.

Expected Outcomes
With this lighting project, Sky Tree will become an important nighttime attraction in the park, displaying a rich gradient of colors and an enhanced sense of three-dimensionality in the tree crown. The combination of RGB wall washers and Pixel lights will not only beautify the tree itself but also add significant visual charm to Qian Deng Lake Park.
